This little gal was painted in-between work on the show donations and turned out pretty darned nifty! Her working name was Lil’Apple Tart, but I figured Alamode (à la mode) was more accurate once the chrome appeared.
She’s painted a shaded green faux-bay with a nice high gloss and solid black eyes. The eyes on the Mini Whinnies just don’t take well to realistic approaches and since she’s a fantasy pony I figured it couldn’t hurt. She’s only an inch tall, so you’d have to squint to see pupils anyways…
Ears and hooves aren’t carved since I’m still reclimbing the learning curve on working with the softer plastics, but seams and logo have been carved off.
Since fantasy horses and Live Show rings don’t always play well together, I have no idea if she’s LSQ, but I’d bet dollars to donuts that she’s Photo Show Quality. She’s going to come play in my show string if she doesn’t sell and she’s definitely going into my ‘confuse my coworkers with random horses’ rotation! 😀
