With a little less than a month to go– do you know where your novel is?
The month before each NaNo event is when the forums over at National Novel Wiriting Month start picking up. The Camp website doesn’t have its own forums, relying instead on chatter inside each individual cabins.
This worked out badly last year since the chat interface was hard to follow and the 90/10 rule reigned (where 10% of the people do 90% of the commenting). Many a quiet cabin was heard, much to the woe of the campers.
But the forums over at NaNo proper are up and running and there are plenty of threads to come play in.
The Newport News NaNo’ing crew is also hosting informal write-ins in which there shall be Word Wars, Friendly Encouragement, and Waffles. (Where Waffles = Nachos, for various values of breakfast. 😉 )
Starting tonight I’ll be outlining each of the short stories I hope to write in June– at a story every three days, should be a fun ride!
