In Another Lifetime

Scenery Tall Tower Twilight

This week’s Blog Azeroth Shared Topic comes from Dragonray of Azerothian Life and runs from April 2-7th.

…This of course always leads me to think about wow and who I would be if I could be and I wondered what everyone thought?

Are you more like Thrall or Jaina? Would you wish to be like Lady vash’j?

If I lived in the Warcraft universe, I’d probably be dead.

And not undead, unless I was very very unlucky, just the plain old normal dead of your everyday Stormwind NPC. Or Goldshire. Or Darkshore. Or Dun Morogh…

Just a Face in the Crowd

Scenery Stratholme Fire Bulidings

In the real world I’m a techie, a writer, an artist, a herder of data into nice shiny reports. I’m loyal, and caring, and supportive—and not particularly coherent in stressful situations.

My weapons training is considerably subpar, a have a very mild grasp of tactical combat strategies, and if a giant dragon attacked I’d probably die of a heart attack. Azeroth isn’t known for its public school systems, so without being born a Gnome– I’d probably be a farmer or a generic townsperson.

Also known as: dragon fodder.

I can be a hero in Azeroth because it doesn’t require any real danger. I hope I’d be the one who runs into the burning building in real life, but most likely I’d sit there in shock while someone else steps up to the plate.

Wining the Reincarnation Lottery

Now you see me-- Now you don't!

If I was lucky and got to pick who I’d be, I’d be a hermit who lived in the middle of nowhere—safe from Horde raids and surrounded by some large fuzzy critters that liked me and hated everyone else. I’d hand out amusing quests just to see what I could get adventurers to do for a little XP and use the money to have someone ward/shield/magic’afy my house into a bunker.

But I wouldn’t be running a kingdom, or hunting down giant spiders, or grabbing a sword and fighting off the current Big Bad… I’m a perfectly nice, but average person in real life, and an average person isn’t what survives in Azeroth.

Unless I was a Druid… and then I’d be taking the Feral part literally. *prowls off into the sunset*

Elsewhere on the Interwebs

Is this the Egg you need nope? Just testing!

dragonray from Azerothian Life posted here and has a wide range of folks she’d like to be from a crazy cat lady to a massive Dragon Aspect there’s a little bit of everything to go around! (And I’d have to agree that Windle Sparkshine has a pretty sweet job…)

Leodar of Dreadblade posted here and is a paladin at heart. Whether it’s an old favorite from Warcraft 2 or someone helping train the next generation in Stormwind, they’re fighting on the side of the light.

Karegina of The Reluctant Raider posted here and much like dragonray is drawn to both sides of the Alliance/Horde divide. Also, +1 internets for quoting The Princess Bride! 🙂

I never considered the idea of just being a town citizen, but that is a great one! and I do like the idea of being a hermit in cave – what’s that guy in Silithus? Although he doesn’t have cute friends with him :p
