Dual-boxing Priests : Levels 35 to 38

Zen'Kiki Moonfire Spam

Four more levels done– only seven left to go! ๐Ÿ˜€

This ’round of leveling wasn’t so bad, although my hatred of all-things-spidery continues unabated.

And I have to say, the Zen’Kik questline is hysterical– even more so since I have two of him following me around (sadly they were phased, so they didn’t see each other).

Zen'Kiki Dialog Moonfire

This area also reminded me how much I hate phasing caused loss of follow. And it’s a LOT.

(Alot even.)

Current Keybinds

Too many eggs, you need just one!

I did a bit of housecleaning to free up some real estate on the screen. Since leveling has been pretty straight forward, I hid all of the non-keybinds and narrowed those down to the following. None of the macros have changed.

Illysu
1 : KillIt (m)
2 : MindFlay
3 : Wand
F1 : HealMe (m)
F2 : HealThem (m)
F3 : Fortitude
F4 : BuffMe (m)
F8 : MountUp (m)

3 : Wand

F2 : HealThem (m)
F3 : Power Word : Shield

F8 : MountUp (m)

[I somehow lost the Level 35 DING pictures. If I can figure out what I did with ’em I’ll come back and put them here. Woe. ๐Ÿ™ ]

Level 35

Fourteenth Talent Point: This one required some thought, since I’m still not fond of Phantasm and I’ve maxed out Harnessed Shadows and Shadowform. So I hopped back down a level and put another point in Improved Devouring Plague.
Abilities/Basic Strategy/Keybinds/Macros: No change

I’m to the point where nothing much changes, so erm, tl;dr– keep skimming! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Level 36

Level 36
Level 36 - Mind Vision

Abilities: Mind Vision (3% base mana, Unlimited Range, Channeled, Allows the caster to see through the target’s eyes for 1 min. Will not work if the target is in another instance or on another continent.)
Abilities/Basic Strategy/Keybinds/Macros: No change. While Mind Vision is pretty darned nifty, it has a very limited use in PvE. Sure, it’s nice to hop into someone’s head to see around corners, but I have yet to hit a situation while questing where it would be useful.

It’s still on an action bar where I can see it, just in case– so we’ll see if that changes.

Level 37

Level 37
Level 37 - New Talent Point
15 Talent Points Shadow Priest

Fifteenth Talent Point: I backtracked again and put the point in Improved Mind Blast. Next time I’ll have a new tier open up and I can start putting points in something more interesting!
Abilities/Basic Strategy/Keybinds/Macros: No change

Considering how frustrating it is to not get anything new while leveling– I’m starting to really worry about working on alts with the new system in MoP. You only get a talent point every fifteen levels and I’m a bit worried about losing the every-other-level carrot.

Level 38

Abilities: Greater Heal (27% of base mana, 40 yd range, 3 sec cast, A slow casting spell that headls a single target for [lots]), Mind Control (12% of base mana, 30yd range, 2.5 sec cast, Controls a humanoid mind up to level 41, but increases the time between its attacks by 25%. Lasts up to 30 sec.)
Basic Strategy/Keybinds/Macros: No change, alas.

I am not using Holy spells unless I can help it (since it takes me out of Shadowform) and I have yet to hit a situation where my HealMe/HealThem macro combo failed to keep me alive. Mind Control, on the other hand, sounds like a lot of fun! Sadly I can’t see it being very useful while leveling– I’m powering through mobs too quickly for it to be much use.

Once I get into PvP on the otherhand… *thinks evil Shadowy thoughts* ๐Ÿ˜€ Mwahaha!
