Script Frenzy 2012 (or: The Play’s The Thing!)

I’ve know that Script Frenzy existed ever since I started NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) back in 2005, but it’s always been in a rather nebulous way.

Script Frenzy was neatly filed away under “Not-NaNo” and thus I didn’t really think about entering.

Which is odd, because I was a theatre major for a bit in college so I’ve done playwriting before… I’ve just never done movies or television and for some reason my brain equated that with ‘script.’

And then I realized ‘script’ also meant ‘graphic novel’… *cue Evil Laughter*

What's a few ten year hiatuses among friends?

I started writing Camera Angles back in 1998 (rebooted in 2009) and as you can tell by the archives, there are quite a few storylines that never got finished. Thanks to stumbling over the physical copies of the strips last month, I’m now armed and ready to roll it forward again.

So, yes, now I’m doing Script Frenzy. *dramatic pose*

… I didn’t say I was going to win Script Frenzy, but I have to say 100 pages doesn’t seem anywhere near as daunting as 200 (even if we do away with most of the description).

I’m over there with the same name as Camp NaNo and normal NaNo: MarthaBechtel so come on by and join the fun! 🙂
