ROL Lida Rose
ROL Lida Rose

Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Saddlebred (G2)
Color: Rose-chestnut
Gallery: Solid Color
Medium: Liquitex Venetian Rose, Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

This little gal was a custom order for Christa of RayovLight Creations and is painted in a faux-chestnut shading with flaxen mane and tail. She has the same color scheme as Kentucky Rose, but I think she wears it better.

When I picked up the bottle of Venetian Rose that was on sale, I never expected to end up painting three horses!

Truth be told, I don’t like pink very much and was planning on using it just to do noses and pinking for markings. But as this custom order proves, a nice basic rose can look killer—even without any chrome.

Alas, the rose paint did not survive the five years in storage and now I’m pondering if I should pick up another one. *eyes model*
