Keno

Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Paso Fino (G2)
Color: Black Tobiano
Gallery: Tobaino
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

This little guy is a portrait of Jet’s Chief Keno owned by Sherry Foxworth of Rocking S Farm. He was one of the last portrait horses that I painted and the one I’m proudest of. He’s the best match so far from horse to model, although he wasn’t quite as complicated as Sierra.

I know I saved the original files for this little guy, so hopefully I’ll be able to go back and tweak the photos so he’s not so washed out. Someday I am going to have to sit down and actually learn how to use the digital camera instead of just hoping things turn out well. *sighs*

I did have a lot of fun painting this little guy, as much of a stress as portraits are on my sanity. I might start doing portraits again, come 2013, but I need to get back into the swing of things first. There’s nothing worse than having to ‘give up’ on a portrait that’s beyond my abilities!
