In Dreams of Trees : The Next Horizon

Wordcount: 138
Rating/Warnings: PG
Summary: Unlimited unknowns are addicting…

NOTE: This is a very rough draft with no editing at all (per National Novel Wiriting Month rules) and is presented for amusement value only. Think of it as a periscope into my writing process rather than a coherent story!

There will most likely be spelling and grammatical errors afoot as well as flat out bad writing, info dumps, plot holes, contradictions/retcons, uneven characterization and pacing. These snippits are also posted out of order, so please refer to the Outline to figure out where it’s supposed to fit.

The Next Horizon

There is nothing to limit their adventures. There are thousands of doors that open to hundreds of points into the various timelines. There is nothing to stop them from going out every day, multiple times a day, to explore brave new worlds and meet interesting (and sometimes terrifying) new people.

If anything they are more inclined to go exploring because they know the doors will close. There are things to do, people to meet, and if they eat too long those people will be gone.

It’s a scientists dream, to a point, to have that endless horizon of new possibilities. For the anthropologists, sociologists, biologists– everyone from every levee of science wants to play.

And it’s not just the scientists.

There are explorers in every world, and many of them find the city by accident or by plan.
