Summary: Wordwar to try and suss out plotholes and knit things back together.
NOTE: This is a very rough draft with no editing at all (per National Novel Wiriting Month rules) and is presented for amusement value only. Think of it as a periscope into my writing process rather than a coherent story!
There will most likely be spelling and grammatical errors afoot as well as flat out bad writing, info dumps, plot holes, contradictions/retcons, uneven characterization and pacing. These snippits are also posted out of order, so please refer to the Outline to figure out where it’s supposed to fit.

Closing The Gaps
So we have Nathan being kidnapped, but not sure by who or why right now. I needed something to go wrong and this was a wordwar idea to start with, so I may just rip this out– I’m not sure how useful it is to the overall plot. Still, NEEDS MOAR CONFLICT!
The easiest answer, of course, would be to have White’s group be the one capturing them. Only because they are the only other group in the city so far… That would give them a reason to get ahold of Blue for the later scene, but then why would they go to the city? Which is where I need them to be for the end, otherwise all of my colorful doodling is not going to work out.
Okay wait, so they capture Blue in the City of Trees, which means this is just a side trip? Maybe this could be how Blue realizes that he has more control over the city that he thought he did.
Wait, we still need to sort out the confrontation between Blue and Black, so maybe this is where we can do that. If chasing Black is the way that they get caught, then is this group a pro-Black group? Not sure if he is operating alone or if he has backup. It would make sense that he is part of a larger group, but that would be odd that Brian’s team doesn’t know about them.
Or maybe they do, maybe they know about the Black team, but haven’t been motivated to do anything about them. Since they know where they are Blue could have gone after them and Sara and Nathan could have come with him. That would give them a chance to capture Nathan.
But why would Brian be coming with them? Could be that Brian was an old member of the Black group and then split off to form his own group when the narrow focus of the black group got in the way of compassion.
So maybe Nathan also used to be a part of that group, which would mean that getting him back would be important. The black group would want to know what was going on and they wouldn’t be inclined to treat Nathan well since he defected on them.
Okay, maybe this story had a little too much conflict in it now… darnit.
