This little guy was painted as an Add-a-Foal for Ocean Echoes and thus shares the same color pattern.
I wasn’t quite as successful at the technique the second time around, since Ocean was pretty much a happy accident, but trying to recapture the almost faux-stone feel inspired me to give it a go on other adult models as well.
Originally the Add-a-Foals were required to match the color of the adult, but I loosened the rules a bit as things went on. Foals were a great way to expand the galleries as well as test out new painting techniques!
