This little guy was a custom order for a color I had never painted before… and to be fair I’m not sure that he really counts as having painted one now. *pokes horse* I ended up with something that looks a little too much like a tiger and not enough like an actual brindle pattern.
Still, for where I was at the time in skill-level it wasn’t a horrible attempt. I do like the way the color came out, even if it’s not quite as true to reality as I would have liked. I’ll have to give it another go once I start the business up again!
This is yet another horse named after the fact and he was named for Epona, the Celtic goddess of horses and chimera is from the current belief that brindling is not a separate genetic marker but a combination of two markers.
