I’m honestly not sure what to call this color other than an odd attempt at faux-stone. It’s a result of battling with those darned raised spots— I just couldn’t take sanding another body into submission!
The logo was removed, but otherwise the original model was unchanged. None of the seams were sanded and nothing was carved. All I added was a translucent coat of green, some stenciled gold accents and a glossy finish.
He’s not bad for a very simple custom and the new owner ever commissioned a matching foal (Galloping Goldie), but it’s not a color I’d do again. Even though I can still remember how frustrating those spots were to remove… it still feels like cheating.
