This little gal has been resculpted into a light draft cross with his face thickened, feathering added, and mane and tail replaced. I wish I’d done the tail a little thicker, but overall she turned out pretty well.

The one thing I’d tweak, other than the tail, is the tobiano pattern. It’s roughly the right shape, but I’d clean up the edges and bring a rounder feeling to the markings. One of the things I’m defiantly doing moving forward with the realistic customs is to make sure I’m always working from references!

Moonlight Dancing and Nighttime Blues were customized as a pair so that the person who had put in the custom order had a choice between horses. I’m always a little leery of custom orders that give me a lot of leeway, so I prefer to give folks choices if I can (like I did with Angel’s Kiss and Pure Malarkey).

As I remember, the customer ended up picking Nighttime over Moonlight, but since the both of them sold on eBay I can’t be sure. I really need to find my notes! :p
