This little guy was one of my favorite fantasy customs, both in terms of overall color and name. I was looking for a sky-themed name to match his white a blue coloring and ‘Lo Flyby’ popped into my head as I pondered random Top Gun references.

The metallic blue against the white has a great ‘pop’ and the model didn’t need any gloss to make it stand out. I was at the point here where I was doing more intricate tobiano patterns, as you can tell by the happy little cat tracks that are scattered about.

If I was painting him again, I might make him a blue bay, or a more shaded blue chestnut. The mane and tail just look like they need a little something extra…
