Counting Time was a horse painted towards the end of one of my husband’s deployments, hence the unusual name. Normally I’m a bit more punny (or Babelfish-y) when it comes to assigning monikers…
I only have a handful of horses that have a black base and a colored pattern, so this little guy is relatively unique. He does share the same color palette as Rainy Day Blues, but he didn’t start out that way.
Time is one of the few horses that I repainted in order to get them sold. To be fair, his original pattern wasn’t up to snuff by the time I repainted him, but I always feel slightly guilty painting over things.
He’s started out life as a black horse with mottled blue stencil sabino markings and ended up with roughly the same pattern in a single color with more detailed edges. Not a large change, but the difference between the two painting methods is pretty drastic.
The Breyer Stablemate G2 Clydesdale/Shire is a little under 3 inches tall, 3.5 inches long, and 1.5 inches wide. Per Breyer Stablemates are all 1:32 scale, but it varies a bit between molds.
