That Don’t Impress Me Much : Part 61

Wordcount: 235 words
Rating/Warnings: PG-13
Summary: Please note, this is currently a very rough draft. There will be spelling and grammatical errors afoot as well as flat out bad writing, info dumps, plot holes, flat out contradictions, and uneven characterization and pacing. (Content is also subject to constant change as I take an editing chainsaw to the story.)

From Here to There

So the gang has been captured by the invading Army that has taken over Two Beaches. They are using the smaller port as an easy way to hide the ships while they conduct raiding missions with the pirate fleet for supplies.

The town can’t support the town, the Army, and the refugees so the Army is keen to get the wounded healed and working again as soon as possible.

Two Beaches is not good fishing or good farming, they are more of a crafting town which means they rely on trade for a good portion of their food. The invading Army had planning on having slim supplies, but they were not prepared for such a lack of foodstuffs. They are depending more heavily on the pirate raiding than they had planned and the ships are starting to get scared off.

They decide to harry Pine Reach and start picking off the homesteads around them. Raiding the farms for food and supplies and driving the refugees towards Pine Reach. They are hoping to overwhelm the town and have them pull in more reinforcements from the Peak and the Capital—thus leaving those two locations unprotected.

There is debate on if they should send the refugees back to Pine Reach. They don’t know anything more than they did before, but the commander does not want them to move until the army is ready to leave Two Beaches.
