Schatten-Grün

Color: Tiger striped Green Bay
Gallery: Other Color
Medium: Liquitex Phtalocyanine Green, Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

Schatten-Grün is more or less German for ‘Green Shadow’ which is a pretty appropriate moniker for this little guy. I have vague memories of using every single shade of green that I had on hand, just because I could. Sometimes you just don’t fight the Muses. *solemn nod*

Grün’s a rich green bay, with shading from lime green down to the phtalocyanine green of his points and stripes. He has realistic eyes, but I believe his hooves were left dark green (sometimes I took photos before the horse was finished, so that they buyer could pick the details).

He was a rather striking little dude and he was snapped up the first time ’round on eBay. It’s a color I’d like to try again in the future, although I’m wavering between doing one in blue or another green. Hmm…
