Cumulus

Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Scratching Foal (G2)
Color: Flaxen Chestnut Sabino Overo
Gallery: Other
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

While I’m not sure if this little guy’s coat pattern could actually appear in nature, it was a lot of fun to paint! He was order as a pair with Cirrus (another chestnut overo scratching foal) and the two were named after cloud formations.

In theory he’s a basic overo pattern with a bit of flair from the sabino overtones. In reality, the white pattern is too top heavy since both overo and sabino patterns tend to work from the belly up. I suppose he could be a sabino tovero (tobaino + overo), but that seems like overkill…
