Camp NaNoWriMo – 14 hours and counting

Posted on June 30, 2011May 18, 2020 by Martha Bechtel

14 hours to go and the Camp NaNoWriMo website is up!

Apparently not all of the website will be functional for the July Camp, so it looks like the forums over on the normal National Novel Wiriting Month will be our home for the month. Not a horrible compromise, but I look forward to August and the inevitable expansions… I want to know what’s hiding behind the My Cabin link!

As always, the final countdown to NaNo has got me bouncing off the walls waiting to start. Not that I’m going to stay up until midnight; facing Friday with less than five hours of sleep is more masochistic than I’ve the energy to be. I’m settling for this post and bouncing around the forums once I get home from work.

I’m really hoping that first burst of NaNo energy carries me through the weekend. If I can get a solid word count started, that momentum will hopefully carry me through the rest of the month. I’m still expecting a few zero word count days—I just hope there are less than last time! (I try to fail upwards whenever possible).

So to all of you out there in blogland, happy Camp NaNo and I’ll see you tomorrow!
