There are times when I’m going through the model archives when I wonder what on earth I was thinking… So I’m just going to blame this one on the NyQuil™©® and go from there.

This little gal is a green, tiger-striped, yellow-eyed tobaino and at least I can say she stands out on a shelf! She was one of the earlier models, as you can tell by the quality of the photos (and the scans) and there’s a lot I’d fix if I had the chance to do her over again.

Of course, I’m not sure I’d wan’t to paint this rather odd combination again, so, erm… still. I’d make the tiger stripes more realistically tiger-based and I think I’d tone the eyes down to a darker gold rather than the bright yellow. Or just go with actual cat’s eyes, which might look less out of place than yellow horse eyes.

The tobiano pattern isn’t too unrealistic, but I’d tweak the edges and make it more in tune with the stripes. Probably would need to pull some tabby cat photos for reference, in order to get the positioning of the white into something at least partially feline… and I’m putting too much thought into this, aren’t I?

Ah well, she was an odd, odd little horse but she vanished into the wilds of eBay rather quickly, so at least someone else liked the end result!
