This little guy was part of the micro mini scale herd that I painted as donations for the second (third?) Hampton Roads Classic. The whole group was done in a metallic fantasy theme and they seemed to go over well with the showers.

If I start up my show donations again I’ll probably continue to do micros since they work well as raffle or door prizes. Sometimes something small and silly is just the thing!

The only problem with good cameras is that they let me zoom in so far I can find flaws that I can’t fix. There’s only so much a magnifying glass and a 18/0 brush can accomplish. 😛

As you can see by the seams on the tail, I hadn’t quite worked the kinks out of the prepping process (and I still haven’t). Working with soft plastic is a real challenge since pressure causes the material to bend.

I’ve got a tutorial in the works for how to prep a Mini Whinnie and I’m going to try and do one for each of the molds. Hopefully it will give other folks a leg up on the learning curve.
