This is one of the few times this color of purple has photographed well. I think that the older camera might actually have the advantage over the new one when it comes to the phthalocyanine colors.

Anywho, Stonehenge was a nice deep purple bay with a stencil brush appaloosa blanket. I actually did two coats with the stencil brush on this guy, one to add the white and then one to work some purple back into the pattern. Turned out quite nicely, with just enough of the light purple colors to get away with putting Lilac in his name!

I wasn’t sure if this technique would do well on the market, since it was quite a side-step from the other customs seen on eBay at the time. Thankfully he was picked up his first time out and the new owners liked the color enough to order an unnamed Add-a-Foal to go with him.

The Breyer Stablemate G2 Clydesdale/Shire is a little under 3 inches tall, 3.5 inches long, and 1.5 inches wide. Per Breyer Stablemates are all 1:32 scale, but it varies a bit between molds.
