Ah, stencil horses, how I love thee! (I suppose calling this little guy and Appaloosa is pushing the definition a bit, but he is a fantasy horse after all.)

He started with a Green Light (Liquitex) base and then I added a layer of every single green paint I had on hand, topping it off with a smattering of white. I also used a variety of stencil brush sizes, which gives him a nice non-conformity to his coat. Top it off with realistic eyes, somewhat-realistic hooves, and a nice thick layer of gloss and you’ve got a cute little fantasy foal.

As you can tell by the in-focus photos and the overexposed white, this was one of my later horses. I do like the train grass base versus just using the felt background, but I’m not sure which suits the models better. May have to run a focus group on Blab and see what folks prefer. *pokes camera setup*
