This little guy got one of those names I really wish I had saved for my own show string– and he was one of the horses I wish I’d kept as well! The color combination came out just the way I’d hoped it would in my head and the appaloosa pattern was nice and crisp.
Thankfully I ended up doing a custom order for the same color pattern on a saddlebred and a foal, so now I know I can make him again if the urge arises (One nice bonuses that comes with making customs yourself).
There’s something about this mold that just lends itself to softer matte colors. Almost everything I’ve done with it has been relatively muted, with Fragaria Glaze and the Pumpkin King being the exceptions. Guess it’s just my subconscious insisting that all quarterhorses are laid-back souls and need laid-back colors! Neverland Flyboy
