I thought he was going quite well, but the owner of the horse being copied decided a) I was taking too long and b) he didn’t look enough like her horse. So money was refunded and Dan got finished off with enough changes to make sure he looked even less like his initial source photos.
Thankfully the other folks on eBay thought he turned out well and snapped him up as soon as he was listed. Which offering the full refund isn’t as dangerous as it sounds– custom orders that fall through will almost always find a new home easily enough.
