Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Quarter Horse (G2)
Color: Dun Frame Overo
Gallery: Overo
Medium: Pastels and Acrylics
Status: Painted in 200? and Sold 200?

Told you I was going to do a horse in pastels when I got a round tuit! *grin*

Although, to be fair, only the base coat is in pastels. So he’s a mostly-pastel horse with acrylic markings and detailing. I’ll have to have another go at a full pastel model a bit later on. (I have some ideas for blocking out the white areas that I’m looking forward to trying!)

I think he came out pretty darned well and the pastel shading really give the hooves a bit of a pop. I think using an acrylic base, colored pencil for the striations, and the a pastel layer to soften the whole thing should be the perfect tweak for future models. *plans grand plans*
