This hackney pony custom was a custom order (hence the fact that it is an ornament). I only did a few ornaments, mostly because the molds are a pain and a half to find balance points for… that and the high-tech eyebolt was hard to camouflage well.

This is one of my earlier hackneys resculpts and as you can see I was still having a bit of a problem with the new mane and tail. Still not sure I’ve gotten the braids down correctly, but at least my more recent tails don’t look quite as poodle poofy.

At least the color came out well, and overall he makes a very nice shelf piece. I hope he looked good on the tree and that the folks he was supposed to be a gift for enjoyed him!
