This little gal was a custom order for Nancy (last name lost to the mists of time… and my file cabinet) and one of the many draft-cross customs that I did from the Saddlebred G2 mold.

While I’m not as happy with the tobinao pattern on this one as I am with the some of the others, this one was done about the time I was getting the hang of sculpting hair that didn’t look horrible.

Instead of using the ‘roll tiny hairs and mush them together artistically’ method, I was using the time honored ‘hack at it with and exacto knife’ method. While this turned out pretty well most of the time, I’d finally figure out how to get the little flips to work out without destroying the flow.

I do wish I’d pulled the tail in a little closer to the body. The model is parked out slightly and there’s too much of a curve to it– past where the tailbone would have affected the hair (arg).

Still, not a bad little resculpting job! Someday I’ll have to buy another tin of epoxy and see if I have any talent left… *eyes art closet*
