This little guy was a custom order, as I remember it was done for the person who lost out on the auction for Jumpin’ Jehosaphat. I loved the name they picked for the model, even if it’s not as flamboyantly poetic as I tend to lean.

The shading came out quite nicely this time around and almost all of it’s from the acrylics. I only used the pastels for a very light bit of shading along the topline and on the hocks and I think it worked out well. I’m always a bit worried when I get solid color orders — their harder when you don’t have a flashy pattern to distract the eye.

I think if I do one of these bucking customs again I’ll spend a bit more time tweaking the leg movements. The hind hoof is a little too squished for my tastes now. Hrm. *pokes her body box*
