This little guy is one of my keepers and is due for another trip under the brush to update some of the transitions on his black points and refine his appy pattern (and lack of spots).
When I started him I was still learning the tricks of painting that small! (To give you an idea of the scale, he’s under an inch tall and about the size of a quarter. The thumbnail to the right might be life-size, depending on your monitor and resolution.)
He is one of the first few pewter minis from Maggie that I painted and is still one of my favorites. I have a lot of Maggie’s Minis in the wings to paint, so once I get back up to speed you’ll be seeing a lot more of them. I may just post the WIP conga-line at some point just as inspiration! 😛
I am an unashamed fan of her work and encourage anyone who is interested in painting or just collecting nifty tiny pewter horses to check out her current lineup! –> Maggie Bennett’s Micro Mini Pewter Horses
