Dancing is a Breyer Mini Whinnies High Stepping Saddlebred Mare painted to a glossy shaded silver blanket appaloosa with black hooves, black eyes, and a blaze.
For those of you not familiar with Breyer Mini Whinnies, this little gal is only about an inch tall!
So far she is one of my favorite Mini Whinnies customs. The plastic is softer than the Stablemates and it’s been a bit of a learning curve. I did a pretty good job removing the seams and the ears carved better than I was expecting. Although you can still see some rough spots on the photos (which are several times life-size!) in person she looked even better.
The coat pattern turned out much smoother than I had been fearing, based on my first attempts with Skip the Wild Tangent. At this scale, even a layer of paint can cause rough bumps, but I found that the glossy sealant was much more forgiving than the matte. Which bodes good things for the future of my fantasy micros!
I’m not quite sure when this little gal was painted or what happened to her. I don’t have her in any of my sales records and the closest I can find in the Wayback Machine is that she existed in 2007.
