Bite the Bullet (Custom Breyer Stablemate Thoroughbred)

The inspiration for this model came from the fact that I had bought the Stainless Steel paint on sale and wanted to see how it looked on a model. I really am creative sometimes, eh?

Not that you can tell from the photos, but this little gal is actually painted mimicking a flaxen chestnut pattern using Stainless Steel and Silver. You can sort of see how the mane and tail are lighter than the body, but unless you were looking at the model in person I doubt anyone would notice.

Still, I was rather pleased with the way she turned out… and she spawned a whole run of metallic colored horses (AuCu, Bling, etc.)

Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?
