D’ór Éireannach (Custom Breyer Stablemate Shire)

D'ór Éireannach
D’ór Éireannach

This little guy’s name means Golden Irishman in Gaelic, at least if the internet is to be believed. There is something addicting about the way copper and gold shade together and once I painted AuCu, I was hooked!

This little guy is one of my later customs as you can tell by the photos and by the pointillist sabino technique. There’s something rather addicting about making lots of teeny tiny dots… *pats model fondly*

This is a color I’m defiantly coming back to again, although I’d love to see how bronze and copper would look. Metallic colors are so much fun to play with!

The Breyer Stablemate G2 Clydesdale/Shire is a little under 3 inches tall, 3.5 inches long, and 1.5 inches wide. Per Breyer Stablemates are all 1:32 scale, but it varies a bit between molds.
