Piper has had a sex-change-by-dremel and is now a mare. She was painted a very dark bay with a combination of pastels and acrylics. Then the spotting began! ^_~ I painted a several layers of white (from translucent to opaque) and then brushed over it with pastels for shading. Then I went back in with a few spots of pure white over the now off-white base. This was my first try at the technique and I think she turned out rather well.

I ended up using the same method on Irish Touch and I’m planning on trying it again in the future. Art is nothing without experimentation!
