Whatchamacallit (Custom Breyer Stablemate G2 Andalusian)

Whatchamacallit - Breyer Custom Stablemate G2 Andalusian - Martha Bechtel - Right

I’m really not sure how to explain this guy. … Is it possible to use ‘you had to be there’ in regards to customizing?

My friend Jess painted his basecoat, but decided she didn’t like the color combination. I meant to strip him… really I did. But I was watching Survivor, and that got me thinking about the real Outback, which led to thoughts concerning the nifty paintings they have hanging in the restaurants. … And when I looked up from my meandering thoughts, this guy was done!

He is sky blue, with teal mane and tail. The lines are in orange and teal and the dots are in yellow and green. Whatchamacallit has the honor of being the only ‘true’ doodle horse so far… although now that I’ve done him, I have this urge to try a few more… (Help!)

Painted sometime in 2005 and sold May 2005.

Medium: Blue, Teal, Orange, Yellow, Green, Silver
