Something old and something new…

Pure Malarkey
Pure Malarkey

It’s been a long time since I’ve worked on any of the model horses, heck I even gave away 95% of my stablemate body stock at the last Hampton Roads Classic, and that was two years ago. So it feels very odd dusting off the old bodies and starting to pick up the paintbrushes again.

I’m sure both the hobby and the markets have changed quite significantly since I’ve been gone, but it feels good to get my fingers wet again. Hopefully, I’ll find old friends (and new ones!) and my silly colored horses will have fun cantering off to other shelves. Worst case scenario, I end up creating things that dance along my own bookcases– so it’s a win-win situation in my book!

There will be a lot of moving things around and working out the best way to categorize things. I have a lot of horses that need uploading and a handful of new horses that need their time in front of the camera. I’m hoping to post a horse a week (old and new), but we’ll see how much chaos work creates. Hopefully, the old 9-to-5 will keep itself in the 9-to-5 and let me have my hobbies again… *crosses fingers*
