The plan for today is to write at least 3,000 words, which will give me a good buffer against any slowdown during the week. Per past NaNos I know I am going to have days where writing is going to be really really hard and I want to try and make those as painless as possible. *crosses fingers* I have a write-in from 2pm to 5 (or 7) pm that should help me get words on paper.
Of course I’m still not 100% sure I want to do the storyline I’ve thought up, which is more or less par for the course. I think it’s an amusing enough idea that I can keep it going (if only to see what happens next!) which should help. Too many of the past NaNos have turned into more of a ‘why am I doing this again?’ slog and I’d like to avoid it this year. Hitting the random button on TVTropes might not be the most original idea, but it’s a darned good way to get the Muses at least thinking about plots!
I have no real idea what I’m going to write, but the plan (in theory) is to get up in the mornings and think of three things/scenes to work on during the day. That way I can spend my time at work thinking of what’s going to happen in those three scenes. …Today I’m just going to start writing and see where it takes me. ^_~;;
