Mini Weekend Anti-Nano (or: I am a Museing Fool)

I have decided, for some unknown reason, that this weekend is a good one in which to write a short story draft. I would call it a mini-Nano, but as this is an attempt to fully outline a story and -then- write it, it’s rather an anti-nano since the outline will go through a lot of editing before the prose begins. It’s an experiment in technique, inspired by synecdochic‘s wonderful meta writing posts (this one in particular).

I’ll be starting the outline today and will be posting all sorts of random worldbuilding, scene layouts, etc up until midnight Friday. Then I shall do my best to write all of the prose by midnight Sunday.

Note: New world, new fictives, nothing recycled a’tall. After all, that would be cheating. ^_~

If anyone else would like to play the same crazy game this weekend, lemme know! I’ll cheer you on! *grin*

hmmm.. i would. because i’d like fire up the new laptop… but the house is screaming at me to be scrubbed. so i’m probably going to be knee deep in scrubby bubbles and toxic cleaning fumes all weekend.

It doesn’t have to be a -long- short story, ya know. *grin* There are plenty of flash fiction markets out there too… ^_~

    Ah, cool!

And actually, I start with pretty detailed outlines before I ever take on any big fic. It helps me stay on track. 😀

I’d like to do this too, but alas, no time, no time!

I don’t really have time either, but I figure it’s cheaper than other forms of stress relief. ^_~ *grin*

And where else I can use all the wierd stuff I’m researching in the same story? Heheh ^_^
