Daily Snippit: Urban/Suburban Fantasy

He didn’t have to be told the unicorn was real, there just wasn’t much room for disbelief when you found yourself eye to horn with something large and glowing. Sam was saying something in an angry voice, but he couldn’t concentrate. Not when his mind was still wrapping itself around the idea that Fluffy was real, and that the dog that had bitten him the other night might not have been a dog after all. Unicorns could sense those things, couldn’t they? But unicorns were also supposed hang around virg—

Don’t even think it buddy. The mental voice echoed with a bass resonance in his skull, and Jack realized Sam hadn’t been kidding when she said Fluffy gave her headaches.

“You asked for it!” Sam suddenly lunged into the unicorn with her shoulder, sending both of them staggering backwards in an explosion of sparks. “Owowow, goddammit! Owowow, I told you to leave him alone! Owow, medic!”

Okay, so apparently the virgins bit was true.
