Daily Snippit: Urban/Suburban Fantasy

Brownie was not a bad horse, he just wasn’t a very good horse either. He would trot, and walk, and canter (when pushed), and on a good day he even held still when you tried to get on him. He bucked (some), reared (rarely), bolted (seldom), and confined most of his misbehaving to refusing to go more than two miles from the barn. All in all, he was your average backyard equine, save for one small detail: Brownie wasn’t a horse.
