When the Celestial Unicorn placed the Ponies in the Wildwood, she made them promise to protect the woods and the creatures in it. The six ponies have spent the last hundred years keeping out hunters, lumberjacks, and a variety of folks looking to capture them for their powers, or to take over the Rainbow. Thus, they are not a very trusting lot.

When Princess Amber (and her Squire Madeline) went into the forest to seek their help in defeating the Armies of Arus, the Ponies didn’t trust her. But after a few misadventures, they were fast friends. Amber and Madeline have been sworn to secrecy about the Wildwood Ponies, and not even the King and Queen know what’s going on.

The Wildwood Ponies are the only group that never forgot about the rest of the Ponies. While they patiently guard the Rainbow (with the help of their human friends), they daydream about someday going home to Ever After.

The Wildwood Ponies

NAMING PATTERN: Berry + verb or 80’s slang

COLOR SCHEME: Two colored metallics. Solid body color with mane, tail and four stockings in second color. Solid black eyes and hooves, sparkle jewels.

POWERS: They can also Call the Rainbow and have magical powers, but their powers get weaker the farther away they get from the Rainbow.

HOME: Wildwood

PURPOSE: Guardians of the Near Side of the Rainbow

MAIN VILLAINS: Duke Vil Lain and other humans

— Bodacious Boysenberry : Dark blue & red, can lie to anyone (These are not the Droids…)
— Radical Cherry : Dark red & pink, can move at super-speed
— Gooseberry Flip : Light purple & silver, talks to animals
— Blackberry Spark : Dark purple & green, can make a ball of light
— Raspberry Chill : Red & silver, freezes things
